President Bola Tinubu says social media has become a societal imperial and must be controlled. The president, who said this through his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, at a current event in Lagos stressed the significance of precise information in policy formulation and national development. He scold the imperial of the social media in the circulation of the social media fake and wrong information which has almost torn the country apart, stressing for the need to regularizethe frame work of news circulation on social media to keep off mis- information in the country. He speak more on the significance of data in policy formulation for the well being of the country grwoth of the country, he went further to say that no country under development will succeed without enough and well informed data. He also said his administration has an agenda to engage in evidence based discussion and data-reliant decision making for this reason there is need for correct data information that will be used for better policy formulation and execution.
